Welcome to the Alumni Class of 1976

Welcome to the Class of 76 website. We would happy to share your story and news to other Cornell University classmates, so we encourage you to contact our website volunteers, or the class president with personal news or Cornell events that others may be interested in.

Club Connections

Were you a member of a fraternity, sorority, team sport or special club activity? The class could use your help in reconnecting with those groups that helped make your Cornell experience special. Please contact a class officer or alumni services to help in the search.

Giving Opportunities

Whether it's a Reunion year or not, there are many ways to show your support for our Alma Mater and for our Class. Through your payment of dues, you support our Class activities, mailings, and Reunion every five years. Through your volunteer efforts, you can support the CAAAN interviewing process, your local Cornell Clubs, your College Alumni Associations, your Class Campaign, or so many other efforts.

We hope that you will also support the University with a tax-deductible gift for the University as a whole, one of its Colleges, or a particular program of interest to you. Your class dues work to support Class of 1976 Memorial Cornell Tradition Fellowship, which supports one deserving student a year. Your annual gift is crucial in maintaining the exceptional education we were fortunate enough to benefit from and allowing students to enjoy such a remarkably diverse experience on campus. To see how alumni funding helps current students, go to Student Stories.

The simple fact of your donation, regardless of amount, is important, and can have a significant effect on creating value for a Cornell education.

Did you know:

  • One of the factors considered in the US News and World Report college rankings is alumni participation -- meaning the number of alumni who give back, regardless of the amount.
  • Prospective freshmen and their parents are increasingly savvy consumers. Alumni participation is an obvious measure of customer satisfaction in the schools they are considering, as well as a factor in the rankings of schools in national publications.

If you have specific questions of how you can help, feel free to contact our Cornell Fund Representative or Class President. Also, for more information on the many ways to give back or to make your gift, please visit the Online Giving Opportunities or call the Cornell Fund at 1-800-279-3099.

Cornell Alumni Directory

Cornell Connect is the on-line tool to connect with the University and other alumni. Please check, update, and approve your online alumni directory listing. All address updates will be automatically sent to Cornell Alumni records. All you need is your net ID number (no not our 7 digit undergrad numbers). Go to http://directory.alumni.cornell.edu for more information and easy instructions to activate your Net ID, and all alumni services.

Share with Classmates on Line

Submit your news to one of our class correspondents to share in the alumni magazine by contacting Patricia Relf Hanavan at prh42@cornell or any of the other class correspondents.

We have also set up a class facebook site to help build your network with classmates. Feel free to add videos, personal stories, photos of reunion or other Cornell events at the "Cornell Class of 76" facebook site.
