Welcome to the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey!

About the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey

Dear Northern New Jersey Alumni, Students, and Parents of Students of Cornell University,

Welcome to a new year with the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey. The intent of our club is to maintain ties between Northern New Jersey alumni, parents, and friends and Cornell University through volunteer service, faculty speaker events, networking, scholarship funding, and a wide variety of social activities for all ages and demographics.

This past year was a big year for our club. It centered around our Charter Day sesquicentennial celebration in April. Through that event we were able to raise enough money to donate to our scholarship fund, which goes toward helping a student from NJ.

The 2016-2017 calendar year is just getting started with the Student Send-off on August 16 and the Freshman Book Read in September (two locations: Westfield and Glen Rock). We have an exciting year planned including the Richard Meier Model Museum in September, a holiday party at the Ridgewood Culinary Studio, and a family friendly event at the Stirling Mine, plus many more. Of course we’ll be repeating old favorites such as Zinck’s night, the Cornell hockey game at Madison Square Garden, faculty speakers, and our business networking series: Martinis & Mingling. You can check Cornell Connect to see upcoming events.

We continue to remain dues-free, so all alumni in northern New Jersey are club members. In order for us to reach such a large membership base, all club communications are now electronic. Ongoing e-mails of activities and events are sent out by the club as well as by the regional alumni office in New York, so make sure that Cornell has your most up-to-date e-mail address. In addition, information may be found on the CCNNJ website or our Facebook page.

We welcome new volunteers to propose and assist with events or serve as club officers. In fact, we are actively looking for members in Bergen, Sussex, and Warren counties to join the board. If you would like to volunteer, please contact any of the officers or members of the Board of Governors for more information.

Are you in? We hope to CU soon!
