To Cornellians Living on Cape Cod, "Over the Bridges" or on the Islands
The purpose of the Cornell Club of Cape Cod is to strengthen the Cornell presence on the Cape & Island and to foster fellowship among all Cornellians and others connected to Cornell in our area. We are your link to Cornell, a conduit for information from Cornell. Welcome everyone, Cornell alumni and spouses, Cornell students and parents all with an interest in our university community to join us in fulfilling our purpose. The Club hosts 10-12 gatherings each year for lunch, dinner or drinks at different area restaurants, venues and alumni homes, sometimes with a speaker of interest or special entertainment or sports event. Please join us at one of these gatherings and meet with a new group of friends sharing a common University and heritage.
Our Next Big Red Event:
Monday, August 7 Rain or Shine
Sunset Cruise aboard the Pilgrim Belle
The Pilgrim Belle is a true paddle wheeler. There is no conventional propeller. The "big red" wheels on the back of the boat propel it, just like they do on the mighty Mississippi! Ship leaves the pier at 7:00 pm, returning at 8:30. Boarding starts at 6:45. Plan to arrive no later than 6:30 to insure good seating. www.captjohn.com/pilgrim-belle/#sunset-cruises
The ship has open upper deck and enclosed lower deck. A variety of snacks and beverages are available on board. State law prohibits passengers from bringing their own alcohol on the boat.
Only cash is accepted on-board the boat.
Join other club members for dinner before the cruise at 5:15 pm
We will meet at Mama Mia's at 122 Water Street, diagonally across from the ship. We will order from the menu and have individual checks. Website: https://mammamias.net/
Parking in Plymouth: Parking is available beside the town wharf for $1 an hour. Pay only for time up to 7 pm, since parking after 7 is free. Parking map: http://parkplymouth.com/parking-map/
Cost for the cruise is $17 per person payable by check made out to "Cornell Club of Cape Cod." Event cost is not refundable after August 4th.
Please reserve by August 4th. Mail reservation and check to Diane VerShure, 69 Holly Point Road, Centerville, MA 02632. Contact Diane at firstname.lastname@example.org or 508-733-6101.
