Connect with other class officers on Facebook

Dear Class Officers,

Community is constantly top of mind for the CACO Board. As you know, so many of our class officers have taken great advantage of digital and virtual ways of forging community over this past year, including making plans for our

upcoming all-virtual Reunion 2021. While we’re excited for brighter days ahead when we can meet in person again -- and see the light at the end of this pandemic tunnel! -- we are also grateful for the enhanced access and opportunity that virtual connection provides.

As we think about connecting digitally, consider this your formal invitation to join CACO’s Facebook group! Find us and click ‘join group’ at facebook.com/groups/CACOcornell. If you are already a member, feel free to invite your peers and class leaders so nobody misses out. Our Facebook group is a place to share news, see volunteer profiles, and connect with Cornellians.

Another reason to join our CACO Facebook group is that we will be using this virtual community to celebrate the nationally recognized Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 18-24). We are grateful for you year-round, and we want to take this opportunity to celebrate you! Watch the Facebook space, where we’ll be highlighting the amazing work of one volunteer each day, selected by the Class Programs staff. Perhaps it will be you!

We hope you will join us for the Alumni Communications Q&A Session, regarding Cornell’s launch of a new alumni communications platform, this Thursday, April 15th, at noon Eastern. This session is specifically targeted for class officers, so please register and let us know the questions that are on your mind from a class volunteer perspective! The FAQ page has also been updated, so be sure to check that out over the next few days.

Lastly, yesterday you should have received an email about the launch of a new Cornell alumni book club, Big Red Reads. We anticipate this new book club will be an excellent way to engage with your class and to meet fellow Cornellians. There is no cost to participate, as long as you can buy or borrow the book to read -- check it out, and maybe we will C-U on the discussion boards!

Warm wishes,

A’ndrea
