Meet the executive board and share your feedback as a class officer

Cornell University

Dear Class Officers,

I have some very exciting updates to share with you today, but before I do that, I’d love to introduce you to CACO’s Vice Presidents who, like you, have experience as class officers. It’s truly my pleasure to work with this team and their committees, and I hope you get the chance to meet them as well!

Rachel Krug '04 (she/her) is serving as Vice-President of CACO's Class Officer Training Committee. Currently based outside Boston, Massachusetts, this year marks the start of her second consecutive term on the CACO Board. She's excited to keep class officers trained and informed on their roles. She’d love you to take a look at our Class Officer Toolkit and send her any feedback on what might be missing from it (rachel.a.krug@gmail.com).

Janelle Teng '11 (she/her) continues to serve as Vice-President of CACO's Communications Committee. Right now, she's living outside Dallas, Texas, but loves to visit Ithaca as often as possible. In this committee, the work focuses on updating class officers on CACO activities and facilitating connections between all officers via programming and social media -- you can find Janelle on CACO’s Facebook page!

Patricia Grant '95 (she/her) is serving as Vice-President of CACO's Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Currently, she resides in Rockville, MD and this is her third consecutive term on the CACO Board. Alongside her committee, she's energized to help advance CACO's overarching goals around diversity, equity and inclusion for the Cornell alumni and student community. We are One Cornell!

Rick Saltz graduated in 1973 from CALS with a BS in business and 1974 from the Johnson School with a MBA in finance. He has been active in the Class of '73 since the 20th reunion, serving as treasurer, secretary and now vice-president. Rick is in the role of VP of the Finance Committee for the second term overseeing the spending of the CACO budget. He lives in Branford, CT with his wife, Lynn, Hum Ec '75. Two of his three children attended Cornell: Marcy, Hum Ec '06 and Ted, Eng '12. His eldest, Jessica, went to Tufts '04.

Last, but certainly not least, Julie Vultaggio '02 (she/her) is serving as Vice-President of CACO's Students and Young Alumni Committee -- and is excited to join the CACO leadership team for her first year in this role. Based in Arlington, Massachusetts, Julie will be partnering with her outstanding committee members to (1) support Cornell seniors in transitioning to active and engaged Cornell alumni, (2) cultivate coalition among young alumni and celebrate their extraordinary accomplishments; and (3) foster authentic engagement among alumni, students, and the Cornell community.

The above volunteers, along with our hard-working directors-at-large, committee members, and staff liaisons, are all working in their various committees to support class officers, and will be in these roles for the current term ending in summer of 2023.

Register to hear directly from President Martha E. Pollack about her ambitious plans to build on Cornell’s strong foundation of world-class academics, research and engagement, as well as from remarkable faculty and students who are helping to carry the Cornell mission forward.

Class officer survey

As our CACO Board continually strives to provide the most effective support and assistance, we are sending all class officers a survey to help us determine the areas in which you’d like to see additional support. Please expect a link in a separate email from the “Cornell Association of Class Officers” and fill out this survey at your earliest convenience. We are collecting multiple answers per class council, so no matter your current role or responsibilities, we’d love to hear from you!

Best regards,
Erica Healey-Kagan '05
