She will be missed
##SENDGRIDOPENTRACKING##

Dear members of the Cornell University Class of 1961,

It is with sadness that I report to you the passing of one of our class leaders. On April 28, Carol Gittlin Franklin died from cancer. Carol will be remembered as a long-time leader of our class, serving as President, Vice President, Reunion Chair, and member of Class Council. Carol led with kindness and was an ardent champion of both the class and the university. As an undergraduate Carol was an English major in Arts and Sciences and a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority.

In her post-Cornell years Carol was the owner of her own successful interior design firm specializing in large prominent businesses. She was an active and enthusiastic supporter of the Metropolitan Opera.

You can read Carol’s obituary here. She will be missed.

Sincerely,

Jim Moore, Class President
